Ricardo Escalada

Ricardo Escalada gained a degree in Chemical Sciences (specializing in Chemical Engineering) in 1989. He currently works at the Thermal Conversion Processes Unit, which is part of the Energy Department. He has worked as a researcher at CIEMAT since 1993, focusing on different areas of R&D in relation to energy production from biomass and waste, particularly technology for fluidized-bed combustion. Ricardo has taken part in many R&D projects at both the domestic and international level, with a focus on studying the combustion process of biomass. He is the co-author of numerous technical reports, journal articles and conference presentations, both within Spain and abroad. Additionally, he has taught classes for some of the courses organized by CIEMAT, and has taught classes on biomass at the University of Valladolid.
