Beatriz Ramos Hernández graduated as an Industrial Engineer from the University of Zaragoza in 2009. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy and Electrical Systems from the National Distance Education University (UNED) in 2013.
Since 2009 Beatriz has worked at CIEMAT’s Wind Energy Unit, where she is a Test Technician for the LE2 accredited wind-testing laboratory. CIEMAT uses this facility for testing the power curve and acoustic-noise emissions of wind turbines, as well as the duration, safety and operation of small wind turbines.
Her work chiefly involves testing and evaluating small wind turbines and analysing meteorological data. She is also involved in a number of projects related to microgrids and distributed generation.
Beatriz has attended international conferences on the subject of small wind turbines and taken part in practical training programmes for students from various engineering disciplines.
