International Committee for the Standardization of Wind Turbines (IEC, CAC, SWT), which reports to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC):
TC 88 International Committee on Wind Turbines. The Wind Energy Unit is a member of working group MT-2 (small wind turbines), MT-11 (acoustic noise), MT-12 (power curves), MT-13 (load testing) and MT-23 (blade testing). The work it carries out for each group involves the development of proposals to modify existing standards, based on the studies carried out at CIEMAT.
International Energy Agency (IEA) Task 41: Distributed generation with wind energy:
Modification of the existing regulations in order to adapt them to medium-power wind turbines.
SWAT (Small Wind Energy Association of Testers), which reports to the IEA and is dedicated to the development of tests for small wind turbines:

Technological Platform for the Spanish Wind Energy Industry (REOLTEC):
REOLTEC was created in 2005 with the aim of integrating and coordinating activities related to research, development and innovation, in order to respond to the needs of the Spanish wind-energy industry. Its members are drawn from academia, industry, the public sector and technology centres, and its work involves identifying the industry's R&D&I priorities, promoting projects, monitoring and following up the committee’s actions, promoting and publicizing the advances that are made, and marketing innovative products.
